National Foundation for Transplants (NFT) exists to save lives and remove financial barriers which often delay or prevent transplantation. Founded in 1983, the organization provides financial assistance to more than 3,600 clients nationwide and have raised more than $80 million. In FY17, annual revenues witnessed a sizable increase over prior year growing by more than 35%. Headquartered in Memphis, TN the Foundation is seeking a talented and experienced Executive Assistant to provide administrative support to the President & CEO.


Manage and maintain CEO’s schedule.

Make travel arrangements.

Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial documents, and other records using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outloook

Input and extract data reports from Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge

Coordinate and direct office services, such as IT troubleshooting, departmental expenses, budget preparation, board preparation, and other duties to aid the executive office. 

Answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties.

Technology Skills

Database software — Blackbaud Raisers Edge preferred, but not required;

Spreadsheet software - Microsoft Excel (advanced knowledge required)

Scheduling platform –Microsoft Outlook 2017 (advanced knowledge required)

Project management software —Microsoft SharePoint preferred, but not required

Word processing –Microsoft Word (advanced knowledge required)

Presentation development – PowerPoint (fluent knowledge)

Knowledge and Skills 

Clerical — Advanced knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures including board preparation and coordination, guest hosting, conference call and appointment planning, record keeping, transcribing minutes, designing forms and correspondence and detailed travel planning.

Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

Written and Oral Communication – Advanced knowledge of grammar, punctuation, sentence structure and clear oral communication.

Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work — Ability to set specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish tasks in a timely manner, as well as follow-up with others to ensure all deadlines are met.

Education and Experience Bachelor degree, or a minimum of 7 years work experience in an executive administrative role
