Part Time Grant Writer

Major Responsibilities:

-Conducts the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals.

-Perform prospect research on foundations and corporations.

-Comply with all grant reporting as required by national and local funders.

-Understand institutional history, programs statistics, and branch and community profiles.

-Maintain current records, grant tracking, and reporting.

-Assist with other projects as requested.

Knowledge and Skills:

-Strong written communication and editing skills.

-Experience with proposal writing and institutional donors.

-Advanced knowledge of Word and Excel required; knowledge of Google Docs preferred.

-Experience with grant tracking software preferred.

-Ability to manage multiple, concurrent proposals and reporting deadlines.

-Knowledge of fundraising information sources.


-College degree with minimum of two years grant writing experience

-Previous experience with non-profit fundraising.

-Experience working in deadline-driven environments.

-Prior experience working in a team environment, handle multiple assignments.


-Part-time position up to 28 hours per week, with some flexibility in schedule.
