Director of Parent Relations and Special Events

  • Serves as lead for development events and activities
  • Organizes, coordinates, and supports special events including the Auction, Golf Tournament, Carnival and 5-K Run and new parent, Grandparents Day, Parent Connections, alumni and donor cultivation events
  • For all events
    • Prepares a schedule (Run of Show)
    • Develops and maintains a timeline and budget
    • Creates invitations, graphics and other marketing materials
    • Proactively designs and executes strategies for obtaining sponsorships and program ads for select events
    • Supports Lausanne Parent Connections
      • Serves as staff liaison to the LPC board
      • Supports LPC events
      • Facilitates communication between the school and LPC
  • Coordinates parent volunteers
    • Distributes annual volunteers survey
    • Coordinates screening and recruitment of prospective volunteers
    • Coordinates and monitors use of volunteers in cooperation with LPC
    • Plans appropriate recognition, acknowledgement and stewardship of volunteer service
  • Supports the Campaign for Lausanne
    • Coordinates campaign events
    • Assists in the scheduling of and preparation for campaign solicitations
    • Assists in managing campaign volunteers
    • Coordinates the execution of the Campaign Communication Plan

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • One to three years of special event and/or volunteer management experience
  • Excellent project management and follow-up skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

The Director of Parent Relations and Special Events will play a major role in the success of this effort.
